With the rise of global environmental awareness and the movement toward sustainable manufacturing, the limitations of traditional acid dyes in nylon dyeing have become increasingly apparent. This is especially true when dyeing deep shades or ultrafine fibers, as the limited adsorption sites within nylon’s molecular structure often lead to low dye utilization, high residual dye concentration, and a heavy burden on wastewater treatment. Ultrafine fibers, due to light refraction and their large surface-area-to-volume ratio, also exhibit insufficient visual depth, requiring more dye to achieve the desired shade—further aggravating dye bath pollution. These issues not only affect dyeing efficiency and cost but also contradict today’s stringent environmental standards.
To address these challenges, Everlight Chemical has introduced Everacid® Red X-BW, part of the Everacid® X-BW series designed with the core concept of “high exhaustion rate and low wastewater load”. This product can significantly reduce residual dye concentration in the dye bath without altering existing dyeing processes or dye characteristics. Its advanced molecular structure provides stronger affinity with nylon fibers, allowing the dye to bond more effectively. As a result, the remaining dye in the bath is markedly reduced, the number of washing cycles decreases, and overall water consumption and wastewater load are significantly lowered—perfectly embodying the spirit of “green chemistry” and sustainability.
Experimental results show that Everacid® Red X-BW is suitable for various nylon fabrics. Under standard 1/1N depth conditions, it demonstrates excellent washing, water, and perspiration fastness—even without a fixing agent. The dyed fabric exhibits rich color and superior visual depth, making it especially ideal for high-quality deep-shade or functional nylon products.
