Sustainable development is defined as “development that meets the needs and aspirations of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” As the first Taiwanese chemical business to receive the ISO 14001 environmental management system certification and OHSAS18001 occupational health and safety certification, Everlight Chemical is actively committed to the research and development of environmentally friendly products and the implementation of clean production technologies. The improvement of internal management of chemicals and product lifecycle safety management are also important tasks for our sustainable growth. In 2007, we introduced the IECQ QC080000 HSPM (Hazardous Substance Process Management) system. In 2015, we became a bluesign® system partner and a ZDHC associate member committed to the goal of zero discharge of hazardous chemicals by 2020. At present, we use only 100% conflict-free mineral materials and continue to approach the 100% compliance rate regarding international codes and regulations.

Everlight Chemical will continue to strengthen its actions in chemicals management, hazardous chemical management, green procurement and green supply chains. Commitment to the end of December 2016, all chemical products used in the textile and leather industry must be 100% compliant with the Hazardous Chemicals Zero Emissions Foundation's list of production restricted substances (ZDHC MRSL). In addition, Everlight Chemical will continue to hold a zero-emission and chemical management briefing on hazardous chemical substances in the industrial supply chain it serves, in order to influence more industrial supply chain partners to enhance chemical safety awareness, join the ranks of detoxification, and jointly face ZDHC 2020. The zero emission goal is moving forward. In terms of product development, in addition to research and development of green energy, environmentally friendly and non-toxic new products, Everlight Chemical plans to introduce Para Chloro Aniline (PCA), which does not contain one of the 24 harmful aromatic amines, by 2020.
