The true essence of "sustainable development" is to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. As the first chemical manufacturer in Taiwan to obtain ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (which was replaced by ISO 45001 in 2019) certifications for environmental management and occupational health and safety management systems, Everlight Chemical is committed not only to developing eco-friendly products and green production technologies but also to strengthening product stewardship management throughout the product lifecycle and enhancing green supply chain management—both of which are crucial to corporate sustainable growth. In 2007, Everlight Chemical implemented the IECQ QC 080000 hazardous substances process management system. In 2015, the company became a bluesign® system partner and a ZDHC Signatory, publicly committing to the goal of zero discharge of hazardous chemicals in alignment with ZDHC standards. To this day, we continue to take proactive measures by refraining from using conflict minerals and animal-tested raw materials, ensuring compliance with the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL), adopting the 12 principles of green chemistry, and integrating chemical hazard assessment tools to enhance transparency in chemical safety. Everlight Chemical not only provides customers with high-quality chemicals, but also strives to develop more environmentally friendly and sustainable products. Through close collaboration with industry partners, we aim to creat more use-phase-efficiency and promote sustainable solutions.

Everlight Chemical will continue to optimize product stewardship management, including chemical hazard assessment, hazardous substance management, green supply chain initiatives, and packaging waste recycling/exchange programs. We commit to ensuring that 100% of products used in the textile, leather, and footwear industries comply with the ZDHC MRSL while strengthening the sustainability management of chemicals. Additionally, we will regularly organize product safety management seminars within the industries we serve, aiming to raise awareness of sustainable chemical management among supply chain partners. By collaborating with ZDHC, we seek to extend the zero-discharge of hazardous chemicals beyond textiles to other industries, such as the electronics supply chain, accelerating the elimination of harmful chemicals from ecosystems and moving toward a greener future. In terms of product development, we adhere to the 12 principles of green chemistry and the seven elements of Use-Phase Efficiency (UPE) outlined in the SASB Chemical Industry Standard to develop innovative products that are green, eco-friendly, and non-toxic. Examples include textile auxiliaries derived from bio-based materials and reactive dyes designed for water-saving, energy-efficient, and low-carbon-emission applications.
