Everacid® Yellow X-BW

As sustainability becomes an increasingly important focus in the textile industry, nylon dyeing is facing growing demands for higher efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Conventional acid dyes may leave relatively high levels of residual dye in the bath, particularly when dyeing deep shades or ultrafine nylon fibers. Due to their unique optical properties and high surface-area-to-volume ratio, ultrafine fibers can also require greater dye input to achieve sufficient color depth. These factors may lead to lower dye utilization, increased water consumption, and a greater wastewater treatment burden.

To meet these challenges, Everlight Chemical has developed Everacid® Yellow X-BW, a high-exhaustion acid dye designed for efficient and more sustainable nylon dyeing. With its optimized molecular structure, Everacid® Yellow X-BW offers enhanced affinity toward nylon fibers, promoting rapid and effective dye uptake during the dyeing process. This allows more dye to be transferred from the dye bath onto the fiber, helping minimize residual dye while maintaining the conventional dyeing process.

Test results demonstrate that Everacid® Yellow X-BW provides excellent coloration across a variety of nylon fabrics. At a standard 1/1N depth, the dyed fabrics achieve excellent wash, water, and perspiration fastness, even without the addition of a fixing agent. The resulting yellow shades show good color richness and attractive visual depth, making the product suitable for high-quality nylon textiles, including deep-shade and ultrafine-fiber applications.

By improving dye exhaustion and reducing residual dye in the bath, Everacid® Yellow X-BW can help lower washing requirements, water usage, and wastewater load.
